Howdy, I've got an orange ABS warning light coming up on the dash sometimes.
What's my next move please?

could be the 4ws unit itself that needs resoldered due to dry solder joints

first things id check is that all the abs sensors are clean.

First thing to do is read the codes. Hve a look in the manual or on the wiki on here.

No 4ws on this car.
Where are the sensors please, so I can check they're clean?

sensors are bolted onto the hubs and read off the abs rings. orange connectors

So you read the codes then?

Yep, as mec says, definitely read the fault codes before doing anything else.

Does anyone have a known to be good abs sensor, and a multimeter, and could tell me the correct resistance please?

Annoyingly, I can't quite remember the value exactly but remember the multimeter I used listed it as 0.8.
Saying that - it's not so much the value, more that it pulses as the wheel turns. The sensors almost always fail open circuit though.

Read codes. You don't need to do anything else. It can be anything. Sensor, pump, wires etc. Find the code and go from there

vanzep ABS have nothing to do with 4WS being faulty. It works other way round as 4WS is getting information about rear wheels speed from ABS computer. So when ABS light will come up more luckily 4WS is next. Never other way round
