Hi all,
I have bought a new brake master cylinder for my jdm 4th gen 2.2 vtec(non abs). Been supplied the one with brake line connections on the left if your facing the engine bay, bar stewards are being awkward telling me its not suitable for jap import and only fits ukdm. Ebay failed me as usual. I believe they are the same as there wouldn't be enough room for connections on jdm or ukdm.
Guessing they're yanking my chain?
be great if someone could send me a pic of their ukdm master cylinder and maybe a vin number if im correct.
Cheers

All ABS and non-ABS MC and their brake boosters are interchangeable. Be aware that there is a difference between ABS and non-ABS MC's. The ABS MC is 1" and the non-ABS MC is 15/16". The brake boosters are different sizes.
I have a UK 1" MC and its brake booster fitted to my JDM import that originally had a 15/16" MC.

i think some aftermarket brake mc on ebay have the connection on the wrong side - probably due to the fact that this works for the Amercian market where the brake mc connections are different for obvious reasons. There is no difference between ukdm and jdm 4th gen connections as far as im aware

here is the OEM Honda part number for the 15/16ths master cylinder (non-abs) on my BB4
- like i say there shouldnt be any difference between connection on ukdm vs jdm - all jdm 4th gens without abs use the mc thats shown in my profile thread.

-you can also buy a seal set to refurb the mc you have-

You can get the part numbers by looking up on lingshondacarparts (don't need a reg or VIN, just pick the right model).
Under each part diagram it shows the part numbers and price. These will show as PFK________ numbers.
Go the URL in the browser window and delete the "_pfk" bit and press enter. Bingo - correct honda part numbers now showing.
Vanzep was spot on - there is absolutely no difference between JDM/UKDM master cylinders.
I suspect they have got you a EUDM or USDM cylinder (would be fitted to the opposite side of the vehicle)
