Intermittent 5th gen ABS light issue - heat related?!

Hi everyone

So I've had my 5th gen for a year now and had an absolute nightmare with the ABS light around the time I got it. Changed the pump and all sorts, new calipers all round too as they just needed a bit of an update. All over autumn and winter the ABS light didn't make a single appearance but now the weather has warmed up it comes on intermittently. ABS works absolutely fine so this leads me to (bar wanting to scream and/or cry) ask if anyone has had this, knows of someone that has or knows what the hell it could be?!

*edit* forgot to say that I've had numerous codes come back, I don't think it has a clue what's up!

Thanks!

Rachel

I've had a few, can't remember them all off the top of my head but the ones I do recall were 41, 43 and 51. Sensors changed too. Just fed up with the damn light now!!

Have you tried clearing the fault codes and seeing what fresh codes are logged

Yeah, tried that. To be fair it's only just started happening again and I did go months and months with no light on at all. It just seems a little odd it only seems to happen when the warmer weather comes. I'm wondering if something could be expanding and triggering the light to come on. I really don't know!

That is what I would do. Clear the codes by unplugging the battery for 10 seconds then when the CEL comes on again you have just those codes. Pull the codes and post on here what they are.

Yeah I'll give that a go and keep you posted, it'll probably stay off for a few weeks now, it's how it usually goes!
