Hi guys
I need tyres on my type r, current tyres are 235/35/19, I would like to up the profile to 40? Would that change how the car handles? Thanks.

235/40 is 27mm bigger total sidewall than 235/35.

Why not try 245/35 which is 7mm bigger or 255/34 which is 143mm bigger.

I'd run 255 if I had enough shame to own a civic.

Iv told you this is a daily so I don't care that it's a civic  I wanted to run a bigger profile for the look and the tyres are a lot cheaper lol. I guess it wouldn't feel as good to drive with a 40 profile?

Maybe ask a civic type r forum? Could be someone on there with experience if changing the tyre size on your car. Or you could ring demon tweeks and "enquire" on the phone about it? Free advice there

I think some lads are just going to do it, am the first one that needs tyres. Think I might just have to stick to standard size? My car has deflation warning system so not sure if it would get upset about wrong tyres.
