Best shock absorbers for the 4th Gen.

Mornin all, just a quick question I'd like your advice with please. Which shocks do you recommend I should buy for my car? (Please bear in mind I'm after comfort rather than rock hard race spec.) Your advice/recommendations would be most welcome.

Mugen,Bilstein or Koni
coolest is Mugen with in car adjusters

Have you looked at coilovers or air ride suspension?

Hi Nick, okay thanks for those brands. Actually, Jason is really pushing for the coilovers as he thinks they're better for everything I need.
Can I put you on the spot then? New shocks or coilovers, which would you think would be better for me?

and there still very comfy shocked how nice the ride is in mine better than my sline audi was and softer

Meister R Zeta S here, can go from pretty much stock feel to -too stiff for my local roads-

Very good quality and do give you all the options, in terms of ride height etc.

Meister rs are rated very highly by alot. Don't really use civic forums now but used to be and may still be £100 off with code civiclife at checkout.

Yeah the MeisterR coilovers will give you the best ride and handling, but they are more expensive than most other ones. Worth it though

Other options are Tein Basic, D2 / BC Racing (although there have been a few stories lately about them being poor), Yellow Speed etc....

Just to add, I ran Koni Yellows for many years too @simonc, again, very good and stock feel on the softest setting, but when they started to go, cost of the Meister R's was only a little more than a new set. And of course the Koni's don't have the ride height options that the coilovers do.
