tyre question

Post by omgtr » Thu Mar 17, 2016 10:47 am

hi,

Sorry if this has been posted up before but I could not get an accurate answer.

whats the widest tyre I can fit on a 5th gen type s without it catching? I was thinking 225 45 17 / or 215 45 17

Car is currently on 205 40 17 but they look too skinny and the ride isn't too great.

Thanks

offset is et 42. the wheels can take the wider tyres, its just whether the car can handle the extra width

What wheels are they that you have 205's on? If the wheel currently takes 205's I wouldn't go any wider than 215.
