New Tyre advice
Hello All
So i currently have some nearing on ditch finder tyres and looking for a good upgrade.
I'm booked on a track day at Oulton park for April 19th so will need a good set, that lasts me till then and is good in the wet for normal roads.
At the moment i have 205/45/17 tyres but have been advised to go up to the standard 215/45/17. What would you guys say?
Will i be safe enough to run 215's on the back and 205 on the front for a month till i save the money to do fronts in a months time?
Also has anyone got any recommendations or votes for the below for good performing tyres? and for a better cheaper place to get them?
Prices as of today on blackcircles
Falken Ziex 914 ecorun - £75.38 fitted
Goodyear eagle F1 Asymmetric 2 (Y 87) - £76.47 fitted or £82.93 for Y(91) Xl
Hankook Ventus V12 Evo 2 K120 - £73.99 fitted
Thanks for your input

Cheers
I have the Hankook Evo S1 mounted on my car. I like them, really good grip and are not noisy at all.
About your Question with the tire size. Just go for it but if you have a BB8 with 4WS then you can't do that.

In the wet Ratty, really?
Dry dreams yes. Wet dreams... No.
205 is stock width, bit you'll be fine with 215's, it's the common "upgrade".
For daily wet road driving I'll always recommend Uniroyal RainSport 3's until something better performance wise and price wise comes along. I've not tracked mine, but they do hold out well in the dry as well.
And check out Camskills for prices, they often better Blackcircles.

They do look great but was hoping to spend closer to 280 for new set. Having to be a bit tight as i have some good spending to do before the track day (cambelt, leaky cam end seal, fuel and oil filters and full fluid drain and replace etc...)RattyMcClelland wrote:All your wet dreams come true with these.
Are the ratings for fuel, wet performance and noise really accurate on sites like blackcircles?
