I've lost the thread and tapatalk is a royal pain in the ass at the min...

But the group buy for the front upper strut brace? Was powder coated and custom made in Poland I believe... All one piece so doesn't flex with chasis.

Anyways I have a blue one on mine and now I'm thinking... could this be the cause of my weird steering?

I had a strut brace on before but was one of those ones that has swivel bits on the ends, that one I had no steering issue with.

Any ideas? Cause if it's track only then that would explain a lot lol... any groove in the road or slight curve to one side and steering wheel pulls quite hard. Looks like tracking is completely away but when you get on a straight flat bit of road it's 100% in the middle.

4 wheel steer still not fixed yet so that's my next port of call, just had no money yet over Xmas haha

I would but I've to ask my mechanic very nicely lol
Can get 2/3 strut nuts no problem but the third is impossible for me lol

Would need a very oddly shaped spanner or something to get to it.. last guy used a crows foot or some crap and my tool range is like...halfords stubby lol

Strut brace will not affect steering. Unless in order to fit it, the strut tops have been undone and left hanging by a thread or something...

Check the tracking check all your suspension and steering joints and... fix that 4ws!!!

Can you not get a socket on it? And before you say you don't have a socket set... Get one! ;)

Very unlikely to be the brace though. If it was pushing or pulling the chassis where it shouldn't be then you never would have been able to get it on there in the first place.

If your 4WS is faulty surely this is your cause. Without the ECU working properly then the only thing keeping your rear wheels in track are a couple of springs! It's dangerous, your back end can turn out uncontrollably if you turn too hard and if the rear wheels get stuck in a rut then this is going to cause the sensation you're probably experiencing.

I have some tools lol
Socket set and ratchet spanners etc just the angle of the third nut makes it impossible for me to get anything on it lol

Really weird but ill maybe get a pic later

And yeah the 4ws was my first guess but just working through cheapest options first

I'd certainly be concentrating on fixing the 4WS first. You are actually putting your life and other road user's lives at risk by driving it as it is.

Worrying about your brace is like driving around on four completely bald over inflated thread worn tyres in the wet and worrying that your centre caps might not quite be the right fit for your wheels :|
