TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT BRAKE CALIPERS FOR A 5TH GEN
How can it be so hard? Well the garage has made 3 attempts. 1st one faulty. 2nd one wrong. 3rd one still not right.
Is there a special caliper for 5th Gen?
Can one of you lovely people give me some details and any specifics that could help me?
Thanks
Sybil

Re: TRYING TO FIND THE RIGHT BRAKE CALIPERS FOR A 5TH GEN
Just got her back Friday the garage had to modify the caliper to fit. Brakes don't feel right. But then again I've been driving with a sticky caliper for a while, but they are not as responsive as they were. Hubby drove her to MOT and she is pulling very badly to the left when breaking heavily.
Awaiting MOT station to call back so we can arrange to get her back to the garage and see if the brakes can be fixed.
On the positive side got to drive my other new (ish) Honda Accord estate executive 2.4l, with heated seats!

I'd be looking for a new garage tbh

Sounds like issues with seized caliper Piston &/or slider pins if it's pulling in a particular direction.
As for modifying a caliper to fit
They are a simple bolt off bolt on item. If the correct replacement item is fitted there should be NO modification whatsoever required...
