Non power steering lude

The pas tube that sits in front of the radiator has broken and snapped due to being rusty, I wondered if anybody on here has deleted there pas system as I did on my civic yrs ago and loved it, if they have is it still easy to drive at low speeds

The Lude is a heavy old car especially at the front so ok to drive while moving but maneuvering will be hard popeye work

unless this will be a track dedicated car, I would highly advise keeping your PAS matey

I don't have pas on mine, for a road car stick with pas everytime

I removed mine on the racecar and wouldnt advise it for road use

Its a ballache moving car when its virtually stationary

On track is a different matter you have more positive feel in the steering in corners

Previous owner on my lude removed the pas.. I only currently use the lude for road driving. It's a pain in the arse, for town driving.. I had to kiss my parallel parking good bye!

Yeah I really should of waited for to buy a lude with pas.. :/

Mine is 80% track & 20% road and im still keeping mine for as long as i can. Im even fitting a better oil cooler to the system as a few track sessions really heat the pas fluid up.

And my rack is starting to leak so trying to make it hold out as long as poss. When the rack eventually jobbies itself i will loop it.

If all they did was loop the lines and remove the pump/remaining pipework, it would be quite possible to refit it, using parts from a breaker.
