Is the driver's side A-Pillar drilled for a hand-hold?

Is the driver's side A-Pillar drilled for a hand-hold?

As comfy as they are, my new Recaros are harder to get out of  I could do with a hand hold like the passenger side has.

If it's a simple case of drilling through the cover to expose pre-tapped holes that would be smashing, although I appreciate it's unlikely.

I don't fancy trying to pull my cover away, just incase I break a tab, so hoping some-one else already has.

I'll have a look for you. I've no qualms about pulling out the cover. Can it wait a few days?

I think yes.

I would expect it to be - interchangeable for rhd and lhd off the same mould, etc.

In some cases I imagine that's the case, but for one the bulkhead is different between left hand and right hand so a chassis isn't exactly interchangeable between the two, so they might not have bothered putting thread inserts on what they knew was going to be the driver's side.

If you could check Donald that would be swell. No rush no :)

I'll have a look and dig out the pax handle if you need it. Covering postage will do.

Yep, the firewall is different (can't avoid that), but no reason to change the A pillar is what I mean. One size would fit all.

Cheers Donald that'd be swell.

It'd be likely that the A-pillar has two through-holes to make provision for two thread inserts, but my doubt is in whether they'd have gone to the trouble and additional cost in fitting them if they thought they were never going to be used. Anyway, we're just spectulating now ;)

I speculate that the answer will be yes.

Holes are there but not threaded.
