What could it be? Knocking from the front left

Post by RattyMcClelland » Wed Jun 24, 2015 8:30 pm

Drove the car for the 1st time since Januarys.

Unsupercharged and frustratingly slow in comparison. Just no torque.....at all.

Anyway. Its knocking from the front near side.

It only knocks when going over drains/pot holes some fast bumps. Does not knock on suspension compression.

I have jacked the whole front end up and pulled and pushed various components and everything feels tight.

I have a guess it could possibly be the bushing inside the coilovers? BC coilovers so they have polybush bump stops.

Ill have to get it onto a lift and take a better look.

Yer was thinking it could be the drop links but again they appear fine. However its difficult to say without propperly lifting the car up.
I will probably get new front drop links anyway. Got brand new rears.

They might not need replacing, the bolts can tend to come loose with the suspension motion.

Are we sure it's not just broken dreams rattling around the engine bay?
