Happened from an off on my last car hitting a kerb and i managed to hammer back one eve when i was sick looking at it lying up damaged
I did good but i did it cold and managed to create a small crack on the rim wall and thats how it's lay for the last 6 months!
Hasn't bothered me as i am using up thread on the other set of rims but it's neartime to get a move on this,i have got a rim repair quote for @$150 unpainted.
Is it a weld repair only you's think?
Never done any welding myself but was hoping there is an option or 2 i can at least try.
I can get kits but they all seem to be for aesthetics only no structure.

Weld repair only. Don't diy it unless your a pro as welding aluminium is difficult. It's can sizzle and pop and warp.
Also its important as its a wheel. A weld will be fine and last as long as the car if done correctly.
$150 isabout right as I paid £84 for mine welded unpainted.

I'll shop around again and go with the best then, might give a local fabricator a shot too,had him look at my Aluminium rad when that was leaking some,he was honest enough to say it was fooked straight up
Just think the rim repair guys around here think they are of Elite status and charge what they like, one never even got back to me after an email enquiry with pic uploaded, not worth the small $'s for them
Questions like "what car is it?" wtf difference does that make!

Well I am bound to say bad luck for the dent, and I mean it.
But honestly I'd also treat it as a good excuse to get rid of those hideous Advans. That pavement did you a favour, man.

I love you. Of course in my opinion but 3 spoke Advans are hideous.

The negative comments were probably best kept to yourselves guys.
Well got it pro repaired well Pro to the point of doing a sheet job on the paint finish, but i had said to them painting wasn't necessary to begin with.
So been masking for best of an hour and half and another hour spent priming and a few coats of Goldrush which seemed the closest in the pre made range.
SO far $165 for their work + $20ish paint and materials.
