Front wheel bearing replacement cost?

Post by xchipx » Sun May 03, 2015 10:42 pm

Hey , I was thinking of buying a complete secondhand hub/knuckle rather than replacing my passenger front wheel bearing.

However was wondering what sort of cost would be involved for a wheel bearing for a 2.2 uk vtec with abs, if I took it somewhere to have it pressed out/in also. Not sure if I want to risk a scrap yard etc, might be worn...

Are the bearings on ebay worth looking at? Do the bearings from the 2.0 models fit?

Thanks
Mark

Front bearings are the same on all 4g and 5g's - engine size and stud pattern (5 stud/4 stud) doesn't matter.

Holy thread revival

Im looking at replacing the front wheel bearings on my BB1 import.
Not doubting what wurly says but just wanted to double check that all bearings 4g and 5g are the same. @newkid has checked on blueprint website and says there is different part number for 4g ones - wasnt too sure if imports ludes maybe had different ones. :? Tegiwa has 5g ones listed for £30 ea and there are quite a few on ebay at various prices.
Any help would be appreciated.

Iain is this a definate :? just there seem to be a few different part numbers out there which is a bit confusing. :?

or

if anyone who has changed front wheel bearings has a note of the part number they used then do let me know.
