Hey guys,
recently got a set of Prelude calipers powdercoated and refurbed. I bought the set off ebay from a Seller listing them as calipers from a X reg prelude (Mine is W reg) and the rear ones seem perfect.
However the fronts are smaller and it made me question if I've been stitched up or if the prelude has two different brake set ups up front? Perhaps 262's and a 282 variation (mine are the 282s)
Clearly a little disappointed as I've paid out for the refurb for smaller calipers ): anyone shed some light on this?
Furthermore, how do you remove the handbrake cable from the rear calipers? I got the cotter pin out? But the other pin doesn't wanna move...
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

I imagine the handbrake cable retainer will be similar to the civic...A small "rod" with a clip that goes through it. I remember doing the cables on my old ek9. Think I ended up removing the caliper altogether and put it in a vice whilst I hammered the jobby out of the rod until it came out. Wd40 and some freeze spray helped

I've had trouble with the clevis pins before. I found a hammer and flathead screwdriver most effective in the end, as per this post in one of my profile threads.
