Been looking at the bay for some goodies and was wondering if these cheapo front strut bars can do the same job as decent ones? Does anyone/has anyone used an eBay number and was it a waste of time and money?

I have one in mine
Think it cost 50/60 just a plain polished one

I wouldnt recommend it again tbh

Had to basically bend mine to make it fit and bits didnt line up right

Best bet is to get one off here from cebul in the group buy

Plenty of people been on here with ebay type braces and generally nothing bad to report about them that I've seen? I think probably there are good and bad out there???

I have 2 available, both of which have been fitted to 4th gens before so fit perfectly.
Cheap, £15 + postage? If you're interested I'll get some pics.

they are pretty good for the price you are supposed to have the car off its wheels to fit the brace though so might explain why it was hard to fit Macca

I believe you have to move the clutch reservoir to fit the front eBay braces. :|

Every one has two lefts or two rights, I cant remember which it is.

basically means you have to twist it into place as it wont fit right.

Spend the money on a type s one or weld a bar across the bay

@pushki: yeah but its like 3cm and you can just bend the mount    I know, I know, thats tantermount to rape but sometimes you gotta break some eggs :ugeek:

Imo the ebay braces are fine, obviously not the best but they are fine. I have them front and back on my 5th gen. There are many branded bars that are of the same construction.

If you can't get th hem to fit you are doing something wrong. Sometimes the ebay bars need an inch chopped off both ends to make it fit.

Aye I'd definitely be interested in them. Is it a front and back you have or two fronts? If u have the rear would it fit as mine has 4ws?
