cv joint question

this is me probably being stupid but any difference between 2.2 and a 2.2 import cv joint before i away and get one off ebay?

No difference except ABS v's no ABS.

And generally all Non-ABS CV joints can become ABS just by swapping over the ABS ring.

right guys i ordered a CV joint 2.2 1993 and the part didnt fit the splines etc were all okay however there was an issue with the size of the CV joint against the bearing ring and im now struggling as my local supplier cannot seem to obtain the part

Have you got a picture idendifying the offending area? (Of the CV joint and on the car).

I'm pretty sure that all 4th gen CV joint are interchangeable. I think the hubs and driveshafts are the same btween a 2.0l and a 2.2 Vtec, so there'd be no reason for any 92-96 Prelude CV joint to not fit.

im at work im afraid but yeah the diagram is coming up as the seal? after the ABS ring and towards the shaft with the splines, i have found that eurocarparts can get it i was trying to get it done asap but will have to wait it seems :P

or should this one be okay?

The only other thing I'll say is that sometimes you get whaty you pay for. I'd be very weiry paying only £11.99 for a CV joint.
