Hi

Do you think its worth getting some used rear calipers or should i just go for the reconditioning kit?
what are the differences of the calipers through the models? i only ask because i have seen a reconditioning kit online and it states it fits models BB1 through to BB8?

There are no difference between Vtec models. The front calipers and discs on non-Vtecs are slightly smaller, although they'll still bolt on the same arms.

Trouble with buying second hand is you never know how long it'll be before they need refurbing, especially if they've been stood for a while not being used. They could be worse than your current ones.

If it was me, I'd buy a second hand set and the refurb kit ;-)

Yep, either buy reconditioned calipers (from e.g. brakes international) or the recon kits (from brakes international or bigg red) and do your existing ones yourself.

It's not really worth buying second hand calipers unless they're really cheap, you're really strapped for cash or you know for a fact/can clearly see they're really recent/not old at all. Otherwise what you get might well be fine, but equally might not last that long either.

Unless you need to do the swap as quick as possible ;-)

Yes - missed that reason off the list too...
