Hey, to start I got my driver door fixed (Left Side Door) from the accident. As soon as I got my 98 SH from the body shop I took it home and tore the suspension apart to replace my shocks and springs with a NON-SH model STAGG 4 shocks and 1.25" lowering spring package. First of all there are mixed opinions in the difference between SH and NON SH. Second of all: THERE ARE NON.

Upon pulling my shocks apart, I measured and double measured, after measuring the first time. The NON SH shocks have an exact same distance from top of shock to lowest point of lower mount. Front AND rear measure the same.

I hope this helps anyone thinking about a suspension upgrade.

yeah the shocks are the same its the rest of the front suspension that's totally different

I thought this was common knowledge they are the same.

Type S and UK VTI all use the same coilover setup and springs. Just the lower ball joint design is different.

During my research when buying my shocks there are forums saying they are different. Anywho I have it all done now with what seems to a slim change in ride height, along with my 35 sidewall tires the ride is smooth while still having the feel of the road. (Without feeling to much of the road)

And steering arms as I found out, on another note does anybody know where I can get these for a Type S

I don't understand why a lot of folks hate on the 35 sidewall, opinions vary and as for my thoughts on the matter, my stock 105/50/16 rims have an exact same feel as the 18" rims. I feel absolutely no difference between the two

Can only assume your roads must be better man - the UK road network appears to be a giant connected series of potholes Anything that low profile would knock your teeth out.

In the US they have concrete highways which are less riddled with pot holes than ours. Tarmac would melt in most states.

Yes, I'm actually Canadian and the roads where I personally live and travel daily are fresh paved yearly and always well maintained.
