Brake master cylinder questions

I'm about to buy a new master cylinder, but was thinking it might be an idea to fit a 1" one. Firstly how do I know what I have currently? My car had abs, but it was also a BB3 2.0. So not sure if it has ever been altered. Then when I am ready to buy the correct parts where is a good place to buy them. Is there anything else I should consider?
Thanks Ash

If you have ABS then it will be a 1" MC.
You can check on the side of the MC cylinder metal body it will have stamped on it 1" or 15/16".
I dont know much about aftermarket MC's but you need to make sure the hydraulic connections are on the same side.
I recently bought an old/new stock OEM MC from someone clearing out some OEM Parts but i seem to remember that Honda dont sell this part anymore - I may be wrong but even if they do are you prepared to pay £350+ for the part ?
Here is the link to how to change the MC posted up by Budge

Mine has a large number 1 on the side, would this be a good replacement?

You could just buy the rebuild kit mate, the one I got from eBay was wrong sided so swapped the internals and it's perfect again, quite easy to do aswell

I had heard it was a bit hit and miss with rebuilds. I've ordered the one above now, so fingers crossed.
