hi

im posting on behalf of my son whos selling his prelude because he'll be spending the foreseeable future in hospital.

my question is what brake discs do i need to tell the garage to fit to his car? from what i understand he has changed the calipers so do i go ahead and have prelude discs fitted or another model? i believe he has honda legend calipers?

sorry if that is abit hazy its just hard to understand what he is telling me to do.

help muchly appreciated!

Hi sorry to hear about your sons circumstances.

I believe if using the legend calipers then yes fit the the standard Lude discs fitted. You use these calipers as they are twin pots.

I'm sure some one will be along soon to confirm or correct this :)

Hi, that sounds very serious about Ste? Very sorry to hear that. Please pass on our best wishes?

Hopefully we can have a look back through his profile thread to see what he had fitted and let you know...

Hi there,

Yes Ste bought the calipers from me. They will run with standard Prelude discs yes.

I appreciate it if you don't want to talk about it but we have all been concerned as to where Ste has been lately. Is he ok? As the others say it sounds serious. We're a friendly community here and many of us consider Ste a friend including myself. If can explain more but don't want it on a public forum, you can hit the button to the side of this post which says PM (Personal Message) and send me a message privately. Thanks.

thank you very much for all the info, will be sad to get the ball rolling but his baby is wasted sat on our drive at the moment.

hi rob, ill send you a private message as soon as i get a second but in a nutshell ste has been in hospital since mid last month due to a pretty horrible ordeal he's been through, hopefully no real lasting damage has been done but he is constantly undergoing brain and organ tests, fingers crossed he will be out in a few weeks and ill be sure to point him in this direction as soon as his fingers can type! :D

lovely to see that there are people on here who care about me boy!

thanks very much again.

hi Keith, so sorry to here about ste. im down in chippenham and will help with the car in any way you need mechanically etc. this car is his pride and joy as im sure you are well aware, surely getting rid of it would be a bad idea. if required i could possibly arrange storage until he is better, again i do not know the severity of his condition or any long term implications or whether he will even drive again. i wish you all the best and ste a speedy recovery.

best regards sam
