I still really like the Neuton Nt8000's, really can't fault them for the money. They seriously outperform the Kumho's I had fitted, won't make that mistake again

Verdestein aren't all that,
Michelin pilot sport are way too expensive, but amazing, they r standard on Porsches.
Nor tried uniroyals
Falkens are avg and look avg,
Avons are better than falken and verde stein, I run them on my S6, the zz5 looks aggressive too
I used to use Eagle F1 on my previous lude and they r my fav both in terms of price and grip

@merlin @nafemannathanMerlin wrote:Yup that is what had me confused. You would thing that the half "V" shape pushes water to the outside of the tyre and if reversed it would pull water into the middle of the tyre. Although Uniroyal says different. I certainly haven't lost any grip and I have driven through some pretty wet roads since fitting them.

There's the official page from Uniroyal. Apparently the contact patch is so small, that the half V grooves still act like the longitudinal grooves.
So there we go!

As it goes, my Vred Ultrac Sessanta's have scrubbed in now and they grip really well, better than the Avon ZZ3's I had on before.
But as different people have different experiences/opinions/views on the same tyre, I think you're just gonna have to take a chance on a set that you like the look of.. or buy the Rainsport 3's

I know you've bought the RS3's Adam but for anyone else reading this for recommendations, I'll throw these in:
Syron Race 1 Plus:
http://www.tyrereviews.co.uk/Tyre/Syron/Race-1-plus.htm

They are getting some good reviews so I bought a set for the wife's 3 series bimmer. The rears at 255/35/18 are pricy for other brands but came in at a snip of about £90 each. They were so good coping with the RWD in the wet that I then bought a pair for the front of my Mazda 6.
I wouldn't mind trying there Street Race tyres at some point for the ludes road tyres, quite funky looking:
