ive ordered up a rack end shaft - hopefully it will be here next week. i got it from amazon prime for £10.40 delivered. its an aftermarket part Jakopart/herth&buss J4844025. direct cross ref to honda 53020SS0000 sounds too good to be true so either part wont arrive or it will be the wrong part :-)
ive got the manual here but it talks about taking the whole assembly off the car...dont like the sound of that...hoping it can be done in situ

I do want it fixed - the rattling is doing my head in

Turns out rattling was down the drop links :-)
I did buy a rack end from Amazon - it was listed as Jakoparts J4844025. It turned up this week and turns out it is genuine Honda 53020SS0000.
so bit of a lucky find.
