Someone was gonna do it

Very good Donald, if anything I would be offended if someone hadn't made a dig!

Ran both on daily driven Prelude (when it was a daily) and my daily driven Mazda 6 + plus they've both had outings on track. The Mazda 6 is a heavy car too. Maybe I was just lucky none failed on me, but I think they're ok if tightened properly.

I've used a few sets of alloy ones and never again !
The first set wasn't too bad, they stayed one and kept the wheel on.. But getting them off was a joke!
The Key slipped inside the nut instead of over it like a socket and all but two split when cracked :/
The second set put me off alloy ones forever, they were the thin "JDM" ones and the wheel slipped right by them and the wheel nearly came completely off..
Steel ones every time now!

I had/have (can't remember) a set of Ultralite Alloy nuts. I used to push my 4th gen pretty hard, but never had a problem with any of them. I stopped using them though, not because I was worried about stripping threads, but simply because I didn't have a matching locking nut
So instead I bought a cool looking set of steel nuts that came with matching locking nuts... Only to have them corrode like a bitch!

I just went for silver ones bud as they were silverish/ light gunmetal wheels at the time, if i was buying again would prob go for something else. With your wheels red should look pretty good imoddoubledanny wrote:Muteki ones sound good and reasonably priced@bucks420 what colour did you get mate

Ouch!
The Mazda ones were D1 Spec internal drive - not a million miles off of that design. I did note that the key for them all is steel and I could imagine over time that key would churn up the internal drive a little? It was something like 7 sided though, so who knows??
I've actually just taken them off the Mazda as I've put the original alloys back on - got them spare now.
The Tegiwa ones I'm using on the lude are red and seem pretty decent to me, there's enough metal on them that they seem more solid than internal drive ones I guess. But I've heard of stories of these cracking too. Wheel see. (See what I did there!)

yeah its years ago I had them
it split I didn't even torque them up much
I remember they felt really very light, and thinking how is this supposed to hold the wheel on
