best place to get inner and outer cv boots?

^^ yes mate, they are usually too long so they accomodate all thicknesses of drive shaft.

I've never had a problem with a universal boot. I've even had success with those split boots that you have to glue down the side - tip for them to stop grease wrecking the glue: cover the joint in cling film before you fit the boot, glue it up, let it dry, then pull the cling film out after :D
