Perhaps its where I live or we just have a crappy gritters but if I was driving my Lude over the winter I would deffo go for winter tyres on my 16" OEM blades.

Winter 09/10 at my office and last year wasn't much better.

Where I live, if it gets bad enough that snow tyres would make a difference, I'm working from home

I just got some continental ts810 225.45.17 for the beemer as they are useless cars in the snow. Last year I had dunlop winter sports on my transit connect and it never ever got stuck. I'm looking forward to trying these ts810's as i hope my beemer can get up our hill this year lol. I will hopefully have the rangie on the road by then but at least i can get out in it if I need too. :D

I've had Falken FK452's and Hankook Ventus V12 Evo tyres on the car for the last couple of years, and it's been awesome in snow and wet :)
