That's still just an assumption though. They obviously improved on the design, so they might have decided to make them thicker as well.

i was under the impression they were different mate, type s ones definitely are.

did you find an answer about the ball joints? if you find a link to a reasonable priced set for a 5th gen i'll do a buy and let you know ;)

Yeah the rear uppers are definitely 33mm according to Rich.

I got a set of rear upper balls and all the droplinks from Langdon in the end. I'd got all the other ball joints from him for the 4th, which I'll be using on the 5th and they all look to be good quality. The droplinks to... Though obviously I got 5th gen ones this time.

And the 5th gen front droplinks are fractionally smaller than the 4th gen ones in every aspect.

I've got his email (lammy426@sky.com) or he's on eBay, just search by price and he's normally the cheapest.

5th gen front droplinks and about 90-95% the size of 4th gen ones.
