rear brake pads

Post by K30DPC » Fri Dec 18, 2015 11:41 am

What do you guys think. Is it worth to pay £82.91 for mintex m1144 racing pads or better to stick with standard ones for as low as £13.13?
Am I going to see a lot of differences in normal use? Rear brakes doesn't do much anyway, so...

Or maybe something different?

ATM I am with green stuff and don't wanna buy them again. Not I'm not happy - they lasted about 3yrs, but would like to try something different

Stands ones. Aggressive pads on the back wont add much.

I use £14 Mintex pads on my 4th gen and they do the job fine, and it sees a lot of action.

I would always recommend getting OEM pads on the rear as they are a perfect fit every time and sweep the full disk and dont leave a ridge up against the the hub like some aftermarket pads do. OEM pads come with full set of shims and grease so bear that in mind when looking at the price but im sure i only paid around £35 for the set on my BB4 - can get you the Honda pt number if you need.

I got a nice discount so paid £27.50 plus vat.
Good pads imo - no issues with them after 1 year :)

Happy to help :)
Honda normally get most parts for me next day delivery or two days at most.
I just go and pick them up.
Got to say service from the parts department at Western Honda in Edinburgh is very good ;)

That's a good price then, considering they come with shims.
Bummer that I've replaced all my rear pads in the last couple of years! :?
