Brake pipe fittings

Post by ek9sid » Sat Oct 31, 2015 9:28 am

Hi guys. I'm going to be replacing my brake pipes (the hard ones, not the flexible ones) and I've had a look but can't find the answer to this.

Does anyone know what the thread size is on prelude brake pipe fittings?

If it's anything, the car is a '99 ukdm 2.2 vti.

This is from 4th gen knowledge but I'm 99% sure 5th gens are the same. The standard fitting size is male 10mm x 1.0mm metric brake pipe nuts. However ABS systems usually have a couple of larger 12mm x 1.0mm male fittings. I guess it depends on what pipes you're changing. I'd recommend cupro-nickel piping - standard 3/16th size (4.76mm). :D

Cheers,

Rob

That's excellent. Everything I need right there. Thank you very much. Gonna have to take a look at the cupro-nickel as my local factors only supply copper.
