Size of handbrake clevis pins???

Post by nucleustylzlude » Fri Sep 25, 2015 2:57 pm

Hey all,

Actually might be working on my lude...

Anyone have to hand access to a rear caliper?

I need to find the size of the clevis pin that connects the handbrake cable to the rear caliper. I was about to order just the R clip / Snap pin bit and found a supplier on ebay who do the complete replacements in various sizes in stainless. The old one looks a bit past it now. I had break the snap pin as that had rusted through.

Looks like this if you’re wondering:

Anyone help me out, so I can order before tonights post? Save me checking over the weekend?

I need the length (overall) and diameter.

Cheers,

Rob

The OEM R-clips are stainless already I believe?

I have a couple of these on the shelf, but no access to them till the weekend I'm afraid!

Once you order some, any chance on getting the link? As I need to do my cables soon so would replace these at the same time :-)

Total length from end to end = 18mm (The head is 1.5mm)
Diameter of the body is 5.5mm (Head diameter is 8mm)

These aren't precise measurements as I don't have engineer's tools.
I hope it's close enough for you though. ;)

@Pushki

Spotted this on Saturday, thanks a lot bud.

Took the plunge on a size closest to your measurements. I'll see if they're any good first and then post up the link. :D

Thanks,

Rob
