Hi guys.
Just wondering if anyone else has suffered from this and if so, what they did to sort it.
Basically my 5g seems to keep sagging at the rear. So much so that the rear wheels are now catching when 4ws is in operation. At first I was thinking possibly the top mounts but not too sure.
Used to be fine but it has started doing this since I had a gearbox in the boot. The car is lowered on yellow springs (don't know the make) and has 17" motegi/atr rims (obviously with tyres).
Thanks in advance
Congratulations to vtecmec for winning May/June's Lude Of The Month, with his DIY Turbo BB1 build.

Yellow would be Koni or Bilstein I think?
Not heard of this, but I'd suggest checking to see if the springs have snapped, or... If they're the height adjustable Koni/Bilsteins, see if the circlip that you use to set the height, has snapped or slipped (they adjust by moving a circlip into different grooves around the damper body, rather than a screw thread type height adjuster on most adjustable coilovers)
Edit:
Hang on, mis-read that. You said yellow springs, not yellow dampers
so it's yellow springs on oem shocks?
ok, forget the circlip, just check to see if the springs have snapped...

Apex springs are yellow, sounds like due to it being lowered on standard shocks, the shocks have gone weak and hense causing the car to sit lower or as wurley said broke springs
I had apex springs on my 4g and the same happened, ride was atrocious too..
New shocks are in order id say bud..

Thanks guys.
Ratty, the shocks are definitely black. I was wondering if bad shocks would cause it to lower. The ride has been terrible recently (I thought the rear wheel alignment needed doing). Will investigate the shocks further. Is there anything I need to keep an eye out for? Apart from the obligatory leaks?

Not that I've noticed. But I do have a sort of rattle coming from the N/S/R corner (put that down to the boot shutting machinist thing). Probably do but can't really hear a thing over the droning of the O/S/R wheel bearing/seized brake caliper. Gonna have a proper look over the back end this week I think.
