That's rack or column I would say.
Or possibly something on the back of the steering wheel chaffing, or in the ignition switch key lock/indicator stalk self cancelling mechanism.
Does the ignition key lock work? i.e. take the igntion key out and it the steering column locks.
Take the 2 plastic shrouds off from behind the steering wheel (that cover over where the indicator/headlight stalks attach to) and see if that helps locate it at all.
Is the power steering fluid level ok btw? And fluid look in good condition?

Re: Grinding noise
The fluid is full and ok. The locking mechanism as well. I would say its the steering rack cause i feel a bit of pressure when im turning. Anyway will send her to the garage next month probably as im going on a holiday back home(im from Bulgaria). Thanks again for all the info, will make a profile and let you know what happened when i get back.

Did you ever get to the bottom of this ? Mine makes a similar noise, I put it up on the ramp at work to try and track it down. My noise was the drivers side inner rack joint, I squirted some grease in there and it went away for about 2 months but now it's back. I hope it's not a sign the rack is on it's way out.

@NafemanNathan Sorry mate, I didn't mean to derail the thread but in between seeing Doggo's 'tight jeans' comment and me actually posting my reply there was a real flurry of activity giving meaningful advice to KaTonyMa so it appeared quite late in the proceedings.

I hear that buddy!Doggo wrote: If it works, don't knock it Simon.
