I have just installed a 4th gen mc and servo on my 91 third gen, its only a tad bit bigger and you need to bend the throttle cable bracket needs bending to clear the reservoir, I didn't even need to adjust anything.

The standard is 15/16" and the 4th gen is 1", Its a common swap on civics.

I also fitted 4th gen calipers so I cant comment to the improvements.

I fitted the abs pump a few years back but it clashes with the battery tray.

I went from a 15/16" (non ABS MC size) to a 1" ABS MC in my 4th gen and there was quite a difference in braking performance. I have seen it quoted as a 12% increase in fluid moved.
