Yes it is, since I have an insurance claim for 1900 dollars due to the dent on my door from another driver. My local shop quoted me at 1000 more then its worth just to add a free paint job aswell. (Benefits of the local support around here) ALSO keep in mine the canadian dollar is worth nearly twice the amount of your pound. So in all it would be an 850 pound body repair and paint.

Still cheeper then here. I heard about £2000 for full rust and respray. I get £800 quote for spraying front wing, bumper and bonet but if I bring my own paint. Pfeew...

I think you mean it's worth half, but that it goes further in your local economic climate ;)
