Well I actually had abit of trouble with getting them because apparently ther is 3 different types, I ordered some of ebay and they were £69 each but they didnt fit the car when it was at the garage and then garage ordered a set and they came in at £90 each which was abit pricey, if you have the ability you could recondition your own and just get a repair kit for them would work out a good bit cheaper I just didnt have the time but it does feel way better now that they are sorted

Only 2 types as far as I know, 2.0 uses 262, 2.2 uses 282, the 282's were used on several different cars and are all swappable. Pads are the same on all 282's, different cars have different discs tho as some were 4 stud and others were 5 stud.

With the 2.0 being 262 as standard and 4 stud on the 5th gen (only 4 stud in the 5th gen range) I used the complete setup from my old 4th with 282's, caliper/carriers, discs and pads. Your options for the calipers/carriers are 4th gen bb1/bb4, 5th gen bb6/bb8, civic mb6, ukdm itr, 98 spec jdm itr, ek9, can also use the 282 setup from the mg.

I was told by a few people on this that there only 2 but I got in touch with a reconditioning specialist and he reckons there was 3 types because my old one and the one I got off ebay were almost identical but for a small area where they would fit on the carrier and they were both different to the one we went with in the end
Sorry to hog the thread but I can change the vtec discs, calipers and carriers from a 4th gen straight onto my 5th gen 2.0?
I might see about doing this aswell myself

Yea, you can swap the lot over from a bb1/bb4 (4th gen) straight onto the 2.0 5th gen, I had to slightly bend the backing plate to clear the larger disc but this was easily done, for the calipers/carriers it can be any of the ones I listed above. Its one of the best mods you can do to the 2.0 as the 262's never made me feel all that confident. I was lucky on the basis I'd just stripped my old 4th gen so had everything I needed to do the swap straight away.

Really that's good news I didn't know that, there's nearly always a cheap 4th gen that's half rotten being sold for little money
