Blimey, that's almost a price in Malaysian Ringgit. :o Still, if all he's doing is trawling, he may as well start high and see if anyone nibbles. It'd be interesting to see if, and how much he manages to flog it for.

At under 12000 miles, it'll fetch at least £80K.

The key word is in the advert: "investment".
And to think that I nearly bought one 3 years ago for £28K ...

(I spent the money on sensible stuff instead. What a tosspot!)

You're not a tosspot, Hans. It just wasn't the right time, that's all. ;)
I'm saving up my pennies to one day nab one for myself. I test drove a beautiful looking red, MK1 about three years ago, that an MH pilot was selling for RM160,000.00. He was honest enough to say that there was something wrong with the steering (and there was, at parking speed, it was virtually impossible to turn the wheel without incredible, muscle busting force), so like you, I walked away.
One day, one day.... ;)

Still no where near worth 80k people putting silly prices on and driving things through the roof I'd rather have 2 audi r8's or a Ferrari

The R8 doesn't look anything like as expensive as it is, IMO.
I like understated cars and technically the R8 is a fantastic car no doubt, but everytime I see one, I just think it looks like a TT, rather than something costing £100k more!
