For my turbo build I'm planning on using a h22a7 block with a h22a head, is this possible?

Also planning on using obd1 management, will this pose any problems with the a7 bottom end?

why do you want to use the h22a7? :?

its higher compression aswell as being open deck. personally i would use a uk 4th gen lump as its closed deck and has 10-1 comp.

the only really gains of a a7 aside from the higher comp ratio is that it has a 55mm crank as opposed to a 50, its still debated as to whether its actually a gain though.

Compression ratio isn't an issue as I've got some wiseco pistons

I went for the a7 as like you said its got the beefier crank and I wanted the open deck to make the most of the darton wet sleeves cooling capabilities :-)

What sort of pressures are you planning on running as the A7 will only take low....

And its a waste to boost that version of the block. :D

You'll be able to pick up an H22a2 for next to no money ;)

What are the specs of an h22a2, crank wise etc?

10:1 CR, standard cams (same as JDM H22a etc...), 60mm TB, 50mm crank.

Like Phil says it is the UK 4G engine and pretty much the least desirable H22 for most people. Hence why it will be cheap.

What sort of power is the standard crank good for?
