If you just remove it you'll get CEL on the dash as the ECU expects it to be there, and is probably why it's tied up as it is.

Use a paperclip to jump the connector after removing it. That should make the CEL go away. Not 100% on that but it works with most sensors.

So removing it will give me a cel but if I jump it with a paperclip that should fix the engine light :?

until you restart the engine and it sees the egr is no longer there and the cel will come back you need to disable it on the ecu if you want to remove it

aftermarket ecu, such as hondata or aem would remove the light also

ideally with the skunk mani you would need tuning anyway..

I have one of those links with a ball bearing inside it on the vacuum hose that operated the EGR. Not sure what their called but it only allows airflow to travel one way. That way my EGR is disabled & I have no CEL.

Its just one of those little thingy's with a ball bearing inside. But it stops the EGR from getting vacuum & hence it doesn't open.
