What are these and do I need them??

Hi all most of you no I'm in the process of nutting a H22 into a kit. Car but Iv a few questions about some bits

^^ what are they for and is it possible to remove them??

The second pic the canister is damaged.. The vac lines going into it have cracked and fell off

^^ what are both the vac lines in this pic for and can I block them up??

The bottom right one... met some guy that pulled it off his and said it makes the car run VTEC all the time? :|

isnt that the charcoal cannister part of the egr system if you run a skunk2 intake then you run without it so i dont think its neccessary

That canister are we talking about. The first or second pic? I'm trying to bin off everything that's not needed lol

The bottom right vac line is for the Cruise control. If you don't want it then block it. I think the one in the top left is for the dual runner control vacuum tank. If you are running the standard intake mani then you'll need this other wise vtec won't be the same!. The top picture tank looks like the charcoal canister (fuel vapors from the tank). I am not sure you can get rid of this as you would have to vent the tank to atmosphere (instead of the vapors being reburned in the engine). It might be an MOT fail but not 100% sure.

Looks like a good excuse to get a skunk2 inlet mani then :)..

With The carbon canister and the fact the engines going into a kit car as such could I not delete this, Iv got a friendly tester so should be ok with that as long as deleting it won't stop things from working

Check with the tester it might be fine to remove it but better to double check, it certainly wont affect the running of the engine.

Ahh fantastic I wasn't sure if it would with the amount of vac lines going to it.. As for the canister under the inlet I can only remove that with a skunk2 manifold?
