I was just thinking, I know it can be dangerous but stick with me.

If you were to spin the h22 motor so the gearbox was on the right as you look at the car instead of the left could you then fit a gearbox that spins clockwise with it or would there still be issues with things spinning the wrong way? :?

H engine turns CounterClockWise and K series goes ClockWise...so even if you put the tranny the other side it must turn clockwise anyways mate... think like that, if you look at the engine whit the T-belt in front of you, in a H it,s in the passenger side right?(uk spec) Then on a K is on the drivers side....if you flip the K by 360 and still look at t-bel...did it goes the same way as the H?

But if you rotate the motor through 180degrees the rotation direction changes, the k spins clockwise so if the gearbox is on the right it should be spinning the correct direction

Be Interesting to see what a k series inlet manifold would do

Yes but I can't see why you would want to.

ok if you if you got the T-bel in front of you, the input shaft of the tranny is in front of you right!? take the tranny in front of you with the input shaft in front of you aswell, turn 180 with the tranny so the input is facing now the passenger side (the tranny still rotates clockwise right?)... so if it could be done and you stick the input shaft in the crank ok then you got the trany still turning clockwise and the H counter clock...don't work...

That would be a thought! :)

More thinking if the principal is doable. Clockwise or counter surely is about the end which stick up to the gearbox and gives the rotation :?:
