MOT failure assistance

So the BB4 went in for MOT a couple of split boots. Rear ARB link. Arches. Lambda was at 1.284 limit should be 1.030. Now there is a crack in the exhaust at the joint of the back box so will get a weld on that and it should sort the lambda. CO2 was at 0.70 limit should be 0.20. MOTr said its like my cat isn't even there.
Now I have just done the down pipe and on visual inspection of the cat at one end all seemed well from that.
Question is do I now take this off and replace with one off ebay if so where can I get the heat sensor that sits in the cat
Or do I chance the spare one I have and see if that will pass? Again issue with the heat sensor on that as I just cut it off when removing.
Thanks in advance.

Doesn't need a cat being a bb4 so they can run the test as a non cat.

I have a bit of an issue with the dating. If it had been 95 I would have been fine but this is causing me an issue

Ive had a quick look at exhaust gas test results from previous MOT's
BB4 no cat plm tri-y 2.5" pipe
(smokey and overfuels)
CO 0.40 to 0.60%
HC 135-221ppm
I would think about changing your 02 sensor, checking your dizzy timing ,plugs and leads

You don't need the heat sensor in the cat, so don't worry about that. Just earth off the wire to stop the light coming on.

I'm gonna phone today and see if I can't get it through as a 95 mate I'll just say all Bb4s were 95 and I was wrong.

So with a new cat, weld on split exhaust duct tape over the arches she has passed. Oh and had to turn the dizzy a bit as she was still running rich. Although had to turn dizzy back again as didn't run right after leaving mot station.
