H22A7 ATR inlet manifold + Hondata S300 + 68mm TB
Evening I’m not being lazy. I would just like direct answers ideally as it’s not all that clear this H series merlarkie as I have searched
Right I’m running a H22A7 on a standard inlet manifold, I have purchased an ATR inlet however I run into the dilemma of what injectors, I personally didn’t carry out the conversion and found myself asking how they’ve managed to run an ATR lump on standard inlet....
Honda infact fitted the engine for the previous owner.
So if it’s running a standard inlet my guess would be that it still has a standard loom, this meaning ATR injectors won’t plug and play?? So I may aswell upgrate right ?
EGR
I intend to purchase a S300 so can I just plate over the EGR or weld the port in the manifold without a serious headache?
What do I need to purchase other than the injectors and throttle cable support that won’t swap over from the standard inlet ?

Since you are looking to fit an ATR manifold to an ATR engine, you shouldn't need to do all the mods that prelude owners normally have to do. However, as it's in a prelude, you would still have to do a couple of them I think;

The inlet isn't the only reason affecting wiring loom on the engine - all the ancillaries on an A7 would normally be a different OBD, plus the crank sensor is in a different place.
Whoever fitted the engine would have had two options - swap all ancillaries and loom from the old engine onto the A7, or use an A7 loom on the new engine.
Without seeing the car, no idea what they have done.
If you can post pics of the existing connectors on the injectors, distributor, alternator, then we should be able to help you identify what is currently fitted and where to go from there.

Actually, just realised...
You have a 5g not a 4g, so ATR would be the same OBD. The only key differences on the engine loom that I can think of, being the crank position sensor location and the ATR uses a different EGR valve (might have the same connector though? In which case why would you remove the egr on the ATR manifold? Just leave it on and plug it in? )
I think that the ATR and 5g injectors would use the same connectors?

TPS is the same then

Distributor definitely different, as expected - A5 has more pin-outs (I suspect due to having the tdc sensor built in where a7 doesn't)

I'm not very good at this stuff - it took me ages to remove the plastic cover from the Prelude without fearing it would snap.
Both cars have their injector connectors well covered in tape and although I had a few minutes to look, I didn't have time to re-bind them. This means that I couldn't check the number or colours of the cables. However, the connector bodies look the same to me.
My next port of call was to look up the part numbers. Fail: the CD with the ATR manual on has corrupted. Perhaps louckie could ask a Honda main dealer for these?
