From cold or when heated up car has a bouncing idle of roughly 500rpm. Ive cleaned the IACV and thats not made any difference, in the throttle body, there is only one hole to cover and when this is covered the idle bouncing stops, could it be the IACV is faulty?
Also if anyone is on
www.accordr.org and registered could you pm me the info thats on this thread

Thanks

Sounds like a vacuum leak to me. Are there any vacuum hoses of the manifold?

You have to pay to view anything important there.

What happens when you unplug the IACV?

I'll double check everything tomorrow. I presume ATR/euror don't have a fitv?

Nope. Just the IACV on the back near the tb.

Well that suggests it's doing something, but putting your thumb over the port causing it to idle properly suggests something's amiss with it for sure. Really it should starve the engine of air and cut out when you put your thumb over the IACV hole in the tb

Wouldn't that suggest its getting air from somewhere else so a leak in the air intake somewhere, maybe worth checking there are no splits in the intake pipe?
