After my brother has told me the engine is starting to smoke in vtec I am going to get the prelude back and fix the problem.this time I will be keeping the car also.

I havnt been on this in months so hopefully I ll be more active now.So my next job is to fix the smoke in vtec.. Am I right by assuming it's the valve stem oil seals?

IF am stripping down the head I would also like to upgrade to some type r cams, might aswell.

Am sure a few of you gage tackled this job was just looking for some advice.

Cheers :)

Good to see you back mate.

lucas has just done/in progress of type r head and intake at the moment. Stem seals could be or piston rings if you are going for the type r Cams it might be worth just going for the whole head...would save doing the seals (in theory)

still got the CRX?

Don't get me wrong I love the tegs and very fun but I think the ludes have more character. There is another lude in kirrie now. Think its off the road just now due to a dizzy issue. Not been through Blair in a while.

I just think for the price of a good Teg compared to my prelude it's not worth it.

I havnt been to Blair in a while too.i ll be back up soon though.I should try and come by Kirriemuir to check out your prelude

My car seems to smoke a lot in vtec too - its like a grey colour smoke. Assuming its piston rings is it a big job to do and costly?
