ARP Head Bolts

I know they are meant to be reusable but how many times can you reuse them before you should buy another set? Mine must have been on and off at least 7 times now :shock:

Good question, I am interested in that too.
I reused OEM ones maybe 3 times and blew the head gasket. I'm not 100% that bolts were the reason, but when removing head 1 bolt near the problematic cylinder felt a little bit less tight. I loosened it almost without that "click" sound. I was hoping 3 times will be ok, stupid me :(

The cause can also be that my torque wrench was not calibrated for definitely too long and it's very old. I will buy a new one this time.

So now I am thinking if it's worth paying 2,5 times more for ARP, compared to Honda OEM.
Somehow I doubt they are significantly stronger, usually all Honda OEM stuff is really strong.

The OEM's are stretch bolts and should not really be reused. As the ARP's don't stretch to do their thing, they should be good. I don't think there is a limit on their reuse.

Didn't realise Honda oem were stretch and arp aren't. Good info 8-)
