So I've got me self a H22a7 for the lude..
Anyone else got one in there's?

I can imagine it's much the same as putting an a8 in?
I take it I will have to fit it with OBD1 engine loom and ancillarys?

All input greatly appreciated as usual :D

I've got one and STK's got one.

What ECU will you be running if from?

Ahh brilliant :D
Did you have to use OBD1 ancillarys and loom?

I will be running throttle bodies Nath so I will get a Hondata s300 I think..

I didn't install mine. I was lucky enough to buy the car with it already fitted, although I am having to iron out a few creases.

Mine's also run off of an AEM EMS with the original 5th gen harness, but yeah if you're running off of Hondata you can stick with your ODB1 harness. You've got 3 options...

1. Switch the ancillaries back to your 4th gen Prelude's.
2. Splice in the appropriate plugs to keep the a7 ancillaries (Will require and ATR/5th gen Lude harness).
3. Use an ATR/5th gen Lude harness to keep the a7 ancillaries using an ODB2 to ODB1 harness converter to plug into the ODB1 ECU.

Your easiest and cheapest option is to swop ancillaries back to Prelude's as you already have them.

You'd also need to convert to a Prelude IACV or delete it (which is the crease I'm currently ironing out) if running the a7's single runners intake manifold, but if you intend to run the ITB's from day one, you'll be deleting this anyway.

Also if you run a Hondata S300 you can remove things like the EGR system, CAC valve, IAB vacuum tank and associated bits, EVAP system and some other bits.

That's pretty much all of those bits I pointed out to you at Japfest Josh.

yeah this should tie in nicely with the loom tuck and custom pipe work we chatted about 8-)

Oh I will do Merlin :x

Thanks guys, great help! Can not wait to get started on the engine after holiday now..
Also I hear good things about Performance Autoworks and from what I saw of DoubleDannys turbo bb4 they look to know what there doing to say the least.. Where are they based?

They didn't do ddoubledanny's lude, but they are easily the best guys to go to for anything Honda related ;)

My lude's off to them for a tune at the end of the month, so that'll give you an idea of what to expect :)

They built (well, re-mastered) the engine that ended up in my 4th gen ;)
