h22a7 knocking... whats it worth??

So my mate has offered me an accord h22a7 but he says it has a slight knock on the bottom end..
he doesn't really know how much to ask and im not too sure so thought id get you guys thoughts. .
I would be rebuilding it fully and upgrading bits to then swap it into my bb4 in future. .
what ya think guys??

Well the heads go for anywhere between £150 and £250 these days.
And a block that needs rebuilding... I bought a bare H22a7 block (No crank, rods or pistons) for £40 on ebay the other day.
Plus £200 for the crank, rods and pistons if you bought them individually, so he'd be looking at £400ish if he was to break it.
Where as you can pick up a complete running a7 for £450.
So a complete a7 in need of a rebuild, sold to a good mate... £250 absolute tops! More like £200, or £300 to anyone else.

Thats pretty much what I thought about 200-250..
Cheers, we are guna take the sump off on sunday and assess the damage before I say yay or nay..
