Good Custom Exhaust Specialist???
Howzit all.
Very soon, I will be looking to have a custom cat back system installed on my 5th Gen 2.2.
I've browsed a few sites and Powerflow seem to be a pretty good option. I live in Brighton, so am willing to travel but not too far north if I can help it.
Has anybody else got any other suggestions apart from Powerflow? There are so many Powerflow sites, I am not sure which one to choose?
Many thanks in advance.

I think he gives life time guarantees. Check his websites for prices: http://solid-fabrications.co.uk/default.aspx
He used to be a member on PreludeUK but I don't think he has logged on this forum yet. His name is Alan by the way.

I have a powerflow on mine, it been on 3 years now with no problems. But I know people that have a powerflow system fitted and they have had problems, its down to the skill of the person fitting it at the garage I guess.
A powerflow exhaust is not even in the same league of build quality as a solid fab exhaust, and if your planing big mods engine wise in the future a powerflow won't be suitable.
It depends on your budget really, if you can afford it - solid fab all day. If you go for a powerflow - do some research on your local fitting centre.

I had a Powerflow cat back on my 2.0 Prelude, the workmanship on it was very good as was the price but it didn't half drone at motorway cruising speed.

Having had a Powerflow catback system on a past lude fitted from new, and my current daily lude came with a powerflow backbox, I can say they're decent enough for the money (free up a few restrictions for sure), but then I also have a Pro-Speed custom exhaust on my project lude and I can honestly say the build quality of it really puts the Powerflow to shame.
Pro-Speed is over in Cardiff, so probably a little out your way, but they're in the same league as SolidFabs so I definitely say for the extra money it's worth the venture out to visit one of them
I paid £300 back in the day for a Powerflow catback and I think Pro-Speed/SolidFabs charge around the £400-£450 mark for their equivalent, but honestly the two true custom exhaust manufacturers make Powerflow systems look cheap and nasty and are definitely worth the extra.
