Help! Broken something on my rocker cover.

Trying to replace my rocker cover gasket today, & I've only gone & ducked it up before I've even started!
Was trying to disconnect this breather pipe from the rocker cover, & the plastic bend just disintegrated.
How catastrophic is this please, and what are my options?
Thanks in advance.

Looks like there is enough of the pipe from the block left that you can fix the breather hose onto - use a bit of sealant if you want.

You need a new pcv valve. A h22 one will fit. body lemonade easy.

Cheers Ratty. In the temporary short-term, and in the absence of a replacement PCV valve, what are my immediate options would you say? What Vanzep suggested?

you need to repalce the spark plug o rings - the one there look knackered
if ratty says H22 pcv valve will fit then thats good - you should be able to pick one up easy

I can stick one if them in the post for you pm me your address. Use sime silicine as a temp measure on your gasket

Indeed. I only need this engine to run successfully till the end of March, when I have the conversion done. So in the immediate short-term, and in the absence of replacement o-rings, will a tiny ring of this sealant round each I-ring do the job for now?

Cheers mate. How should I fix this PCV valve for now though, to keep me mobile?
