to get 300whp out of any h22 will require a fully built and stroked engine your looking at 10 big ones for the engine parts and work if not more

sorry for late reply didnt get any notifications saying there were replies.

Havnt got 270bhp yet but im aiming for it, at the moment im running 217bhp ish need a dyno to double check but will get one once i done a few bits. Think i would be happy with around 250 which shouldnt be to hard to get too.

I would go to solid fab or got a quote from honda-r but its going to cost quite a bit and its awkward as I have to leave the car there and overall just seems complicated. I seen skunk2 have 2.75" and a 3" system so might just go for that although might need to adjust it to fit the car correctly as i dont think the piping will fit into the coupe exhaust tunnel exactly. then i just need a custom decat made which i can get done at a local place.

I have seen a 2.5" system think its megan racing which would be easy as it would just be a straight fit and a 2.5 decat is pretty easy to get hold of.

iv read different things some saying its bad others swear by it. hmmm, its cheap and would get rid of my horrible exhaust blow.

Forgot to post this and was searching around can get a nice skunk2 R system at 2.75" as said before. Its from america for a really good price would just need a custom decat built then. that way its best of both worlds and should give good increase all round hopefully.

I take it you're on about a readily available 2.75" S2 system for a Civic and not a Prelude?

You got my hopes up then that Skunk2 might have done a 2.75" Prelude exhaust then! Just had a look and see they now do 70mm (R) and 76mm (RR) systems and even specify that the RR system is suited to high performance (270bhp+) NA H22a build and K-series (not in the UK yet), yet they only do them for the frikin Civics and Integras!!!... They didn't even come with H22as! What about the Ludes and Accords?!

im sorry :(
thats because they know how awesome civics are ;) . can always get one imported? was looking at them on ebay (america) and they seem cheaper unless there are import taxes and other charges. I seen they did the RR but think its most likely best for me to get the R as i might going somewhere between 250-270 so the R seems about right?

Yeah they never seem to make it easy over here will most likely have to import one.

Think import tax is £56 thats what it was for me when i bought my mounts. 250-275 is an easy gain i think. U gunna rebuild your engine, put high comps in, pnp, and that?

thats not to bad but if im going to get it think il just go through skunk2 uk make it simple may be an extra £70 or so but worth it as easier to deal with.

Got my local tuner to search into a price they said with their exhausts should be fine doing a 2.5" and they are fine for over 400bhp so will have a look at there prices. Wont have a cat or decat so will have to keep hold of my original exhaust for MOT's unless i have someone friendly.

Not sure on how far im going to go all depends on money getting all the basics done first then will move onto bigger things, hopefully have a flying civic in no time though. 270bhp should be plently but more power is always liked haha. Want an s15 in a few years so would hopefully keep the civic for a daily and s15 for fun.
